The rules of the game for RYHATHON 2026. By registering a team, every member agrees to these terms.

Who we are

RYHATHON 2026 ("the event") is organised by RYHA Technologies, together with Francis Xavier Engineering College (FXEC), Tirunelveli ("we", "us", "the organisers"). These terms apply to the website hackathon.ryha.in, the registration flow, the participant portal (Player HQ) and both rounds of the event.
If you do not agree with these terms, please do not register. We may update them as described in "Changes to these terms".

The event is open to students currently enrolled in an undergraduate (UG) or postgraduate (PG) programme at a recognised college or university.
Teams have 4 to 6 members. One member is the team leader and is our main point of contact.
A student may be a member of only one team. Duplicate registrations may be merged or removed.
Every member must give accurate details (name, email, mobile, college, department, year). We may ask for a valid student ID at any stage, including on campus for Round 2.

The registration fee is ₹149 per UG member and ₹199 per PG member, calculated for the whole team and paid once by the team through our payment partner Razorpay. Coupon discounts, if any, are applied before payment.
Registration closes on 10 October 2026, 9:00 AM IST. After that time new teams cannot register and unfinished registrations cannot be submitted or paid.
A registration is complete only when the team has submitted its details and the payment is confirmed. We then review the details; verification usually takes 24–48 hours. We may refuse or cancel a registration that is incomplete, duplicated or uses false information.
Fees are governed by our Refund & Cancellation Policy. Please read it before paying.

Round 1 is an online qualification round. The submission deadline is 10 October 2026, 11:59 PM IST. Late submissions are not accepted.
Each verified team gets one free submission slot. Up to two extra slots can be unlocked for ₹50 (second) and ₹100 (third).
One submission per slot. Each submission picks one of the problem statements offered to your team.
The Google Slides link must be viewable by anyone with the link. We check this automatically; a private or broken link is rejected and does not use up your slot.
Finish all edits before you submit. Changes made in Google Slides after your submission time are not considered; reviewers check the file’s version history.
If a reviewer marks a submission "needs fix", you may resubmit that slot once for free before the deadline.

Submissions are reviewed by the organisers and an evaluation jury. Round 2 selection is based on the latest accepted submission of each team.
We may disqualify a submission or a team, at any stage, for:
plagiarism, or presenting another person’s or team’s work as your own;
solving a problem statement other than the one selected for the slot;
false registration details, impersonation or multiple identities;
tampering with the portal, other teams’ entries or the evaluation process;
breaking the code of conduct below.
Decisions of the organisers and the jury on evaluation, selection, disqualification and prizes are final.

RYHATHON is for everyone. Treat other participants, volunteers, mentors, judges and staff with respect, online and on campus.
No harassment, discrimination, threats or abusive language of any kind.
Follow the venue rules and the instructions of the organisers and college staff during Round 2.
Security testing is allowed only within the scope the organisers announce. Do not attack the event infrastructure or anyone else’s systems.
Do not share or upload unlawful, offensive or malicious content.
We may remove anyone who breaks these rules from the event without a refund.

Your team owns what it builds. We do not claim ownership of your ideas, slides, code or prototypes.
By submitting, your team allows us to display the team name, project title, summary, screenshots and demo in event reports, on this website and on our social channels, always with credit to your team. Tell us by email if any part of your work must stay confidential.
Use of third-party code, data, images or libraries must respect their licences. You are responsible for any content you submit.

We work hard to keep the portal and the event running smoothly, but we cannot guarantee uninterrupted access. We are not responsible for losses caused by internet outages, third-party services (for example Google Slides, email or payment providers) or events outside our reasonable control.
Participants are responsible for their own devices, belongings, travel and personal safety while attending Round 2. To the extent the law allows, our total liability to a team is limited to the registration fee that team paid.

We may change the schedule, rules, prizes or these terms if needed, for example because of a change in venue availability or public-health guidance. We will post the updated terms on this page, update the "Last updated" date, and notify registered teams of important changes through Player HQ or email.

These terms are governed by the laws of India. Any dispute will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts at Tirunelveli, Tamil Nadu. We encourage you to contact us first so we can try to resolve any concern informally.
